Upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) Arrival Terminal 2, New Delhi.

Hire a prepaid taxi from the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) Arrival Terminal. Ask the taxi driver to take you to a neighbourhood in New Delhi called Pahargnaj and to drop you off at the New Delhi Railway Station. The Railway Station is near Main Bazaar. There are hundreds of budget hotels and guest houses in the Main Bazaar area of Pahargnaj. You can find cheap rooms ranging from US$ 10 to US$ 15. Air conditioned rooms go for US$ 25 per night.

If you want to be spared the trouble of looking for accommodations, you should book a hotel room or guestroom via internet or telephone ahead of time.

Warning: Don’t go to a hotel or guest house that a taxi driver from IGI recommends. He will take you to an expensive hotel to earn a commission.

How to reach Jaipur from Delhi?

BY AIR:

Domestic flights are available to Jaipur (Sanganer Airport) from Delhi Domestic Airport (Palam Airport). The flight takes 45 minutes. Direct flights are also available from Mumbai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

When you arrive at Jaipur domestic airport, take a prepaid taxi to the guesthouse. The guesthouse is 15 kms. away from Sanganer Airport. The name, address and telephone numbers of the guesthouse will be given to you well in advance.

BY TRAIN:

Please check the current departure times from Delhi/New Delhi Railway Stations at (http://www.indianrail.gov.in) or from the railway enquiry numbers given below.
 

Purchase your ticket for the 2015 New Delhi-Ajmer Shatabadi Express at a booking window at the New Delhi Railway Station. It is strongly recommended that you arrive at the railway station 1 hour before your departure time. There is no need to purchase a 1st Class AC or 2nd class AC rail ticket for your journey. You can comfortably travel in one of the Chair Car compartments. The compartments are air conditioned and spacious. AC Executive Class fare between New Delhi-Jaipur is 985 (INR) and AC Chair Car is 495 (INR). You can also book tickets online at http://www.indianrail.gov.in or http://www.irctc.co.in/ The railway station general enquiry number is 131. Trains for Jaipur are also available from all major cities in India i.e., Delhi/Mumbai/Chennai/Kolkatta/Varanasi and Agra.

BY BUS:

If you are coming to Jaipur by bus, take an auto rickshaw or taxi to Bikaner House, near India Gate, New Delhi. Comfortable and air conditioned (ACs) and non air conditioned (Non AC) buses for Jaipur are available from 5 AM till 12 PM (Night). The buses are Government owned and the journey is safe. AC bus fare from New Delhi to Jaipur is around US $ 12 and takes five and half hours.
