Jaipur, also popularly known as the Pink City, is the capital of Rajasthan, India and is one of the world’s most beautiful cities. However, outside the city there are many small towns and villages in need of volunteer assistance. This project is ideally suited to sports enthusiasts (especially cricket and soccer /football), who would like to enhance sporting skills in underprivileged children’s.

Role of a Volunteer

Through your volunteer assistance, the children will benefit from your academic lessons (such as Basic English, Maths and computers) and they will also have a prearranged place to play and learn with your sports coaching sessions. The volunteers have recently set up computer literacy clinics, which have proved very popular with the children. The main sports played are cricket and soccer (commonly known as football); however, you can coach a wider range of sports.

You also have the opportunity to introduce other games, but please note that the equipment may not necessarily be available as most of the games are played with home made balls or bats.Any donation to provide a new set of equipment or bringing in any equipment will be highly appreciated.

About The Program:

This program is going to make you experience those exciting and beautiful things you would never expect to face in your life. Volunteers from all over the world would join in offering you a broad spectrum of friendly relations. The starting point of your itinerary would be Jaipur where our representative would pick you up and will assist you to reach Sikar.

Jaipur is rightly called the pink city, the color associated with hospitality in Rajasthani culture. Here you will be accommodated with local host families.

In Jaipur you would participate in a four-day orientation and you will be introduced to the surroundings, local culture and rituals. Besides this you would have ample time to visit all important and beautiful places that a normal tourist could visit.

After your orientation program you would move to the very core of this enigmatic land, to work there as a volunteer. On your arrival you will be briefed with your daily routine.

Your local NGO partner would need you to do various other activities depending upon your efficiency and calibre.

The goal of your work is to make learning a joyful experience to the under priveledged children. Volunteers also have a chat with the families of these children, making them realize the importance of education and motivating them to send their children to school.
