Homestay & Cultural Exchange in Jaipur
Live with an Indian host family in Jaipur, share daily life with them and discover local culture, festivals and food from the inside—not just as a tourist.
This program is designed for travellers who want to experience everyday life in Rajasthan, not only its monuments. You stay with a local family in Jaipur, share their routines and learn how Indian traditions fit into daily life.
Instead of staying in a hotel, you become part of the household for a short time—eating together, talking in the evenings and joining family visits, festivals or small celebrations when they happen.
If you wish, the homestay can be combined with light community activities a few hours a day—such as helping with English practice, informal activities with children or assisting women’s groups. This is optional and can be decided based on your interest and time.
This program is ideal for open-minded travellers, students or families who want a calm, homely base in Jaipur. You should be respectful of local culture, flexible with simple living and comfortable following basic house rules.
The homestays are in Jaipur city, within easy reach of the old city, markets and main sights. Rooms are simple, clean and equipped with basic facilities. Wi‑Fi is usually available, and meals are cooked in a typical Rajasthani style.
You can join most months of the year. Stays usually start on the 1st or 15th of the month, with a minimum duration of 1 week. Many guests choose 2–4 weeks to settle into family life and explore Jaipur at a relaxed pace.
You will have plenty of time to discover Jaipur’s forts, stepwells and bazaars, try street food, or make short trips to nearby towns on your free days. Your host family can often guide you with local tips and safe travel options.
If you want your visit to India to feel personal and rooted in real life, the homestay and cultural exchange program lets you live like a local while still having support and guidance.
Your donation helps us educate children, support health camps and protect the environment in and around Jaipur.
